Charming stay with delightful local pubs
We enjoyed a cozy night in a lovely budget room. The local pub nearby offered a fantastic selection of ales, creating a warm atmosphere perfect for mingling with locals. Make sure to try the Bosley ale from Storm brewery! Just be prepared for the building's quirks.

We had a lovely stay with the grandchildren, enjoying the spacious family room. The place felt really secure with all the noise from the boxing event outside carefully muted. Breakfast was tailored to our needs, allowing an early start for our adventures nearby.
My kids wished for better mattresses in the family room.

I received a warm welcome and the manager, Steve, made sure I had access to breakfast items like cereal and tea for my early start. The sun terrace was perfect for unwinding with a drink and soaking in the sun after a long day. Just a heads up, parking can be a bit of a hassle, but it didn't dampen my stay at all! 🌞

Mat made us feel welcome right from the start, and the breakfast chef was truly delightful with his chatty nature. The sun terrace is perfect for sinking into a comfy lounge chair or enjoying a drink with a view. It'd be handy to have a socket by the bed, but overall, we loved our stay here! 😊

Had a fantastic time with friends! We explored nearby hiking routes and enjoyed outdoor tennis. The lively bar scene and friendly staff made our stay worthwhile. Definitely a no-frills option but very clean and ideal for a casual getaway. Great location for quick access to restaurants and public transport.
The mattress could be improved for better comfort during the night.

The proximity to the breathtaking hiking trails makes it a fantastic base for outdoor enthusiasts. The charming historic ambiance really adds a unique vibe to the experience.
The absence of double glazing made my room quite chilly, even in June. Dealing with the steep stairs was a bit of a hassle. it really challenged my patience after a long day. I noticed a touch of mould on the windowsill, and the shower's inconsistent pressure left something to be desired.

Amazing breakfast & friendly vibes!
We loved our stay here! The full English breakfast is just out of this world, and super filling. The staff are all so nice and helpful, really made us feel at home. The bar area was buzzing and had fab beers. Just wish the Wi-Fi was a bit stronger, as it was a bit patchy sometimes.

Charming atmosphere with great local insights
My stay was incredibly enjoyable, highlighted by the cozy and inviting atmosphere that felt just like home. The room was charming and clean, and I especially appreciated the helpful advice about local hiking routes and the option for a delicious packed lunch prepared for my trek. The breakfast was fantastic, freshly made to order, making it a perfect start to my day exploring the beautiful surroundings. If there is one thing to improve, it would be the steepness of the stair access to the rooms, which may be challenging for some guests.

Couples seeking comfort and a good breakfast
The breakfast was excellent, cooked to order, just like I like it. I particularly appreciated the owner's kindness when he packed me a bacon sandwich to take along for my hike, that’s the kind of thoughtful service that stays with you.
It wasn't the cheapest place around, but it was still acceptable for what you get.
